This will rename the layer to Layer 0, which works. Now you can move on with the rest of your Photoshop project.

Step 3: Crop And Layer

When you open the image in Photoshop, you may want to crop it to the desired area you want. This is similar to how you would do the same in Adobe Spark Video software. Trim the excess around the bottom and borders so that only the main part of the image you would like to reflect is shown. Then, duplicate the background layer. This can be done by going to “Layer” in the menu bar, clicking “New” and then selecting “Layer via copy.” This tells Photoshop to create a duplicate of the image in a layer that is separate from the background.

Step 4: Adjust Width

The next step to creating the mirror image effect on Photoshop is to double the width of the canvas you are working on. This is not something you have to worry about in Adobe Audition CS6 projects. You can do this by clicking “Image” in the menu bar and adjusting the percentages under “Canvas size.” There should be text bar available for you to type in specific numbers. Click the one beside “width” and double the percentage. This will make your canvas size twice as big. Once you click “OK” and return to your Photoshop image, you will see a blank white space of canvas beside your original image.

Step 5: Drag

Now that you have extra canvas space, you can fill that with the layer you created in Step 2. First, make sure that the layer is selected. Then, simply drag the image using your Move Tool. You can type the letter V on your keyboard as a shortcut to select the Move Tool. Once it has been selected, drag the image layer into the blank white space of canvas. Hold the Shift key down as you drag to ensure that the images line up perfectly. After you have done this, you should see two copies of the image sitting side-by-side thanks to one of the best technology solutions for photography.

Step 6: Flip

Now that the images are in place, you can make the mirror image effect happen. All you need to do is flip the image on the right horizontally, so that the matching sides of the images line up. Do this by going to the Edit menu. Choose “Transform” and then, finally, click “Flip Horizontal.” The image on the right should now look like a mirror image of the one on the left.

Step 7: Merge

Lastly, make sure that you are happy with the result before going to print on canvas. Adjust any small details and make sure that the images are lined up correctly. Once it is completely perfect, you can then merge the two images by using the Layer menu and clicking “Merge Down.” This will connect the two layers so that they create one single image.
